Sudocrem is an over-the-counter medicated cream aimed primarily at the treatment of nappy rash. It is manufactured by Forest Tosara Ltd, one of the companies making up Forest Laboratories Europe.

Sudocrem contains a water-repellent base (consisting of oils / waxes); protective and emollient agents; antibacterial and antifungal

History

Sudocrem was developed in 1931 by Dublin-based pharmacist Thomas Smith. It was originally called "Smith's Cream". The brand was not introduced into the UK until the 1970s, but it has since become the leading baby cream in Ireland and the UK.
