Steppin' Out is a weekly entertainment industry-oriented magazine published by Chaunce Hayden that bills itself as "New York and New Jersey's #1 Entertainment Magazine". The main feature of each issue is its cover feature, an interview of a celebrity by Hayden. The rest of the magazine consists of film reviews, entertainment industry gossip, regular columns and features by various contributors, horoscopes, information on local area events, and classified ads. The magazine boasts a readership of over 150,000.

The magazine has been mentioned numerous times on The Howard Stern Show, as Hayden was a frequent guest on the terrestrial version of Stern's K-Rock program.

The magazine maintains an online presence at so-mag.com, where web surfers can download the entire contents of the current issue in pdf format, as well as order back issues dating from as far back as the December 8, 1999 issue.

Chaunce Hayden Hayden is a celebrity journalist who has interviewed over 5000 celebrities. His interviews are famous for showing a side to celebrities seldom seen. He is also known for his ability attract national attention for his interviews via dozens of main stream media outlets. For 15 years Hayden was a regular bold face name in the New York Post's famed Page Six column. . Hayden has also appeared on The Howard Stern Show from 1989 thru 2004. However in January 2005 Hayden and Stern had a very public falling out that has yet to be resolved. Hayden is also a Getty Image photographer and has had his celebrity portraits published around the world. Chaunce finished in last place during the 'Get John's Job' contest on the Howard Stern show in 2004.
