On 7 September 2010 Nikolić signed with Timişoara for a undisclosed fee. He signed a five years deal. After he signed the contract, said : "I am aware that there will be a great competition on my post, but this only serves to motivate me. I would say that I'm the classic number 9. I have a pretty big height and that is why I can say that one of my qualities is head game". He was handed the number 19 shirt.On 2 October 2010 Nikolić made his debut in 2-1 won against Rapid Bucureşti.
