Steenwerck is home to the 100 km à pied de Steenwerck marathon which features a traditional marathon, and a 100 km (62.1 mi) marathon, although most local residents prefer to merely walk one lap (roughly 24 km).

Steenwerck also has its own giant, as is tradition "au nord", which is named Totor and is one of the tallest, measuring 5.7 m (0.0035418245989039 mi).

Other places of interest include the Musée de la Vie Rurale as well as the Trois Abres Cemetery and Grand Beaumart Cemetery of the First World War.
