sports car were made. A late 1980s evocation of the SS100, the Steadman TS100 used Jaguar XJ6 running gear and was sold as a high quality turn key car with a hand-built aluminium body. Like many other makers of similar cars, Ottercraft made subtle changes to the original proportions to accommodate the source-car's wider track and smaller, wider wheels. By careful attention to detail (such as the use of appropriately large headlights) the Steadman TS100 was much more successful than most.
