Statens offentliga utredningar (SOU), "Swedish Government Official Reports", is the official series of reports of committees appointed by the Swedish
Government for the analysis of issues in anticipation of a proposed legislation.
Reports of committees within a Swedish government ministry ("departement") are published in another series, called "Departementsserien" (Ds).
