History
Starokostyantyniv was founded in the 16th century when the Ukrainian magnate, Kostiantyn Ostroz'kyi (1460-1530), built a fortress at the village of Pomishchentsi. The village grew into a town and was called
Kostiantyniv Staryi.
It's a very small town.
