. It was founded in 1978 when a group of local people got together with Fr. Joe Madden of the Servite Order and decided to form a GAA Club of their own.

The Club caters for a range of age groups from 4 years upwards in the parishes of Hartstown, Huntstown, Porterstown, Blakestown and Mountview.

St.Peregrines boast one of the finest clubhouses in the country in addition to a 500 seater spectator stand, a gym, astro turf and sports hall. There is a fierce rivalry with local club st.brigids.

The club is now firmly established in the senior football league grade and were unlucky not to be promoted to div.1 after being beaten by St.Annes in the playoffs. In the 2011 season Peregrines beat Lucan Sarsfields comprehensively and narrowly got revenge on St.Annes in the championship and have progressed to the latter rounds for the first time. The clubs hurlers are also senior league grade but intermediate championship and look to return to senior level.

The Club is often humorously referred to as "Penguins" because of their strip and the shouts of MON DE PENGUINS are regularly heard around the ground.
