; † July 4, 1889 in Hasköy, Constantinople) was a famous Armenian nun and philanthropist. When 12 years old Srpuhi Nshan Kalfayan lost her father. As an orphan she vowed to become a nun. She utimately succeeded in becoming a nun in 1840. She founded the Order of Kalfayan. She founded a professional school for girls in 1850 which still stands today (Though now it accepts boys as well). In 1865 she successfully mobilized financial support for the victims of a cholera epidemic. On 1 January 1866 she opened an orphanage for girls in Hasköy in Constantinople. She died on 4 July 1889.
