Right from its earliest batches, there is an extensive focus on academics and in particular on subjects such as Mathematics, General Science, History and English Literature. Revolutionary ideas are discussed in class and students are often encouraged to participate in discussions pertaining to current issues confronting humanity. A very strong emphasis on discipline has ensured that students tend to focus on their development and consequently, alumni of this institution have a reputation for being very hard working in their professional lives. Equality of all citizens is preached from Grade One, as students are all required to wear identical uniforms (including shoes) on a daily basis. Homework in English Language, Urdu and Mathematics is a practice right from Kindergarten, and is graded on a daily basis to provide feedback and mon.itor the progress of students. Examinations are conducted twice a year along with 'tests' on at least a bi-weekly basis, for which students are expected to come prepared to school. Declamation and public speaking competitions are a frequent occurrence and students are encouraged to be creative as a group in various items performed in the annual school concert. Recently, there has been talk of making current affairs a separate subject in itself.

Sexual-education and culinary practices/table-manners should be taught as subjects at the school level and are suggestions for improvement to the current administration. Desipte being a Muslim country, it is important Pakistan's young minds are taught the importance of family planning from a very young age and for that sexual-education is a must.

A large percentage of Springfield's alumni proceed to seek higher education at local institutions in Pakistan.
