South Sligo was a parliamentary constituency in Ireland

from 1885 to 1922.
Prior to the 1885 general election
the area was part of the two-seat Sligo constituency. From 1922 it was not represented in the UK Parliament.

Thomas Sexton was returned unopposed, but having been also redurned for Belfast West
he opted to sit for that constituency, and at a bye-election in February 1887 there was not any opposition to the return of Edward J. Kennedy (Nationalist), who resigned in June 1888, and at a bye-election on the 6th of that month there was not any opposition to the return of Edmund Leamy (Nationalist).
