living together, 6.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.3% were non-families. 18.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.79 and the average family size was 3.20.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 30.4% under the age of 18, 3.6% from 18 to 24, 24.4% from 25 to 44, 28.8% from 45 to 64, and 12.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 95.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.0 males.

The GATRA (Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional transit Authority) bus runs through Halls Corner stopping in the Depot Plaza, which runs on the SAIL Line (Seaside Area Inter-town Link). Although there is this service not many people ride it and is filing chapter 11.

Halls Corner
South Duxbury is an area in the Town of Duxbury, Massachusetts which consists of Halls Corner, which is a large shopping district in Duxbury. It consists of five streets (Standish Street, Bay Road, Washington Street, Depot Street, and Chestnut Street) coming together into a roundabout. All streets contain many stores, such as grocery, clothing, gas, pharmacy, banks, eatery, consignment, flower, hair and nail salons, ice cream, wine and spirits, dentist, bakery, the South Duxbury Post Office, and many more. Halls Corner is always the most busiest place in Duxbury. Two shopping plazas also take up Halls Corner, consisting of the Depot Plaza and the Duxbury Marketplace. The Gulf Gas Station is right in Duxbury along with Dunkin' Donuts, and Foodies' Grocery store. There was a train line from the Old Colony Railroad through South Duxbury, but closed in the late 1930's.
