's 1662 Lionian map as Sorkholm. In 1904 a 16 m (52.5 ft) bricked lighthouse with sidebuildings was built. Later in 1913 the complex was expanded for the dwelling of the lighthouse keeper family. Since the 1970s the lighthouse is automated.
