Sophie Dowllar Ogutu is a Kenyan Human Rights
Activist who does theater for Social Transformation and also the President of the World March of Women Kenyan Chapter. In the recent years, Sophie has mobilized communities while targeting women with the aim of strengthening women's protagonism in the resolution of conflicts. Through theater and creative means, Sophie engages her group The 5cs Human Rights Theater company to do pieces and performances based on the five values of the International feminist movement
(World March of Women): Peace, Freedom, Solidarity, Justice and Equality.
Sophie Loves arts and for that reason, has been the contact person in Kenya for the WomenArts - USA that initiated the Support Women Artists Now holiday to celebrate women Artists. She has been coordinating the SWAN day in Kenya since the first holiday in 2007.
Sophie has also done research on Women, Freedom of Expression
and Theater for Article 19

Her theatre group, the 5 Centuries human rights group, performs to promote social transformation and human rights, particularly those related to women. Sophia also works as a programs assistant in charge of campaign and advocacy at the National Convention Executive Council (NCEC).
She also worked with numerous Human rights organizations in the country including Kenya Human Rights Commission
, which saw her serve hectic days in Nakuru G.K. Prison for organizing a week long cultural activity in Tinet Forest in March 2000 together with 11 other activists including two staff members of the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC). The 5Cs have done theater performances in functions organized by organizations like the Citizen's Coalition for constitutional change (4Cs), Release Political Prisoners - Pressure group(RPP), CRECO, CREAW, ECWD, Youth Agenda (YAA), The National Youth Movement
(NYM), Amnesty International Kenya and United Kingdom
and many others not mentioned. She worked as a Volunteer for some years at the National Convention Executive Council, until she got a privilege to serve at the Campaigns and Advocacy docket at the National Movement that stands for good governance
