History

In early 2009 Sneem senior football team took the decision to amalgamate with neighbouring club Derrynane for all senior competitions. This decision was taken as a result of populations trends in the area which left it difficult to field competitive senior teams.

The current panel of players includes several key members of the all conquering South Kerry divisional combination that won the Kerry County Senior Championship in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009.
