. It was created in 1991 from the Slovak part of the former Czechoslovak Television

Broadcasting is on a 24-hour basis. Between 1987 and 1994, it was currently from 06:00 to 01:30.

From January 2011, STV is part of Rozhlas a televízia Slovenska (RTVS) together with Slovenský rozhlas

Only first and second channels are available on analogue
