Geography

Siat has an area, , of 13.5 km² (5.2 sq mi). Of this area, 51.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 33.6% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 1.9% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (13.4%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).

The municipality is located in the Rueun sub-district of the Surselva district. It is located on the heights above the north side of the Vorderrhein
