Qualification

Mexico as host country is automatically qualified in every event. No later than July 1, 2011, each eligible NOC was required to submit a list of shooters to be considered in the entry by name to the CAT (Pan American Shooting Federation).  and CAT, will be assigned by allocations for the maximum number of athletes it may enter in all shooting disciplines (pistol, shotgun and rifle) before July 10, 2011. Should the number of requests exceed the quota of 250 shooters, CAT will select the shooters to be entered in the XVI Pan American Games and will inform NOCs, PASO Technical Commission and COPAG. The number of athlete allocations to be assigned to each NOC will be based onthe historic participation in Pan American Games
