History

Shin Yurigaoka Station was opened on June 1, 1974. A major bus terminal was completed at the station in 1986. In the year 2000 the Limited Express Homeway began operation, and the station became a Limited Express stop. In 2002 the Limited Express Support and Enoshima and Tama and Shōnan Express began operations to this station. Support was discontinued in 2004, and Shin-Yurigaoka instead became a stop for the Hakone and Sagami, as well as Rapid Express and Section Semi Express trains.
