, by defeating Pathans. In 1590 he was with Man Singh in Orissa and killed "Katlu Khan Lohani" who declared himself to be independent ruler of Orissa. He killed the "Foujdar of "Balghata" in east and accompanied Raja Man Singh in Datiya and Berar. He was given title of "Rawat" (Head of Rao's) by Man Singh I.
At the time of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II,Zorawar Singh Sheobramhpota was his trusted general and "Meerbakshi". The Northern gate of Jaipur towards Amber is named after Zorawar Singh Sheobramhpota. There is a way also in Jaipur named "Nindar Rao ji ka rasta" near western gate of old Jaipur known as (Chandpole).

Zorawar Singh fought many battles with Jats of Bharatpur area including one with Churaman

 Jat in 1716-1718 (Sawai Jai Singh Charit by Atmaram). He was so powerful that at two occasions he forced Sawai Jai Singh to change his decision. Sawai Jai Singh wanted after him his elder son Ishwari Singh should rule Jaipur. Therefore he got written deeds of loyalty from his top generals and kinsmen. On January 3, 1742, Zorawar Singh also signed this deed. Others who signed were Thakur of Jhalai, Raoraja of Uniara and Sikar, and Rawal Mohan Singh of Chomu. He remained governor of Malwa also.

When the British government opened Mayo College at Ajmer in 1875, Maharaja Mangal Singh of Alwar was the first to be admitted to this institution and Rawat Mahatab Singh (Sheobramhpota) of Nindar was the second student to be admitted on November 1, 1875 in this prestigious institution. Thakur Rao Kishan Singh (Sheobramhpota) of Nindar remained head monitor of Mayo College

 Thikanas. There were twelve other Thikanas called "Khas Chouki" (Special Checkposts). Kavi Nanu Ram Sagar wrote "Kavita Kalptaru" about Zorawar Singh and Sheobramhpotas. Kavi Chand (Not Chandbardai) wrote "Kurm Vilas" about Kachawahas including Sheobramhpotas.
