Tully Harcsztark, who has guided the creation of the school, both in terms of philosophy and structure, since the planning stages. Other administrators include Rabbi Jonathan Kroll (Judaic Studies), Dr. Mark Shinar (General Studies) and Nancy Lerea (Admissions).

Extracurricular activities

SAR High School, while only in its eighth year, already has many co-curricular activities. Students have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of publications including "Torah Temimah", the Torah and Halacha Journal, Ruach Searah, the Dvar Torah newsletter; The Buzz, the official school newspaper; "JubasNews.com" an online satirical newspaper about SAR High School;Math Mag, an award winning publication; Model United Nations; debate; the literary journal, Euphrates; The Israel Activism Committee's Milk and Honey covering Israel current events; and the Global Awareness and Action Committee's (GAAC) publication.
In 2010, during the school's midwinter break, the Spanish Club traveled to Puerto Rico as part of a cultural immersion trip.

Sports

All of SAR's teams are members of the Yeshiva High School Athletic League, which represents many of the Jewish day schools throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Sports teams have been very successful in SAR's short history, capturing the Varsity Girls Basketball title, JV Boys Basketball title, Varsity Boys Baseball title,Varsity and Junior Varsity Girls Soccer title and Boys and Girls Track Team championship, as well as runner-ups in Girls Hockey and JV Hockey. The Boys Varsity Soccer team has won its division five years in a row. All of the sport teams carry the same team name, SAR Sting, as well as the same logo, a bee. Also, the Boys and Girls track teams have never been beaten and have always returned with the 1st Place trophies.

The SAR teams are: JV Boys Softball, V Girls Softball, V Boys Hockey, V Girls Hockey, V Boys Soccer, V Girls Soccer, JV Girls Soccer, JV boys soccer, JV Boys Basketball, V Girls Volleyball, JV Girls Volleyball, V Boys Volleyball, V Boys Baseball, Boys and Girls Track, V Boys Tennis, the fencing "club", Chess Team, and Boys Varsity Bowling Team previously led by Jeff Dobrinsky and AJ Varon, and the 2010-2011 season led by three year veterans and captains Ezra Benus and Mati Bocarsly.
