Beyond the desfalcation and the attempt of murder, it oppresses the woman, Júlia, it tries among others to convince to all of that it is insane person and maltreats the slaves, atrocities. In way to the tram she is the actress Pola Renon, who was loving of Carlos and with its supposed death she started to help the family of it, without disclosing nothing on the romance. The son oldest of Carlos, Lúcio, if gets passionate for Pola and lives the dramas of this love in way to the maquinações for the abolition of the slavery, fight that counts on Júlia as allied when this decides to become free of the claws oppressors of a husband who does not love it.
