The school opened in 1999, and at the time of its last Ofsted

 inspection, held 889 pupils. The new, purpose built, school building opened in 2003 and is being extended in 2010 with the addition of eight new classrooms and the re-furbishment of the main school to provide improved facilities for pupils with special needs.
Examination results have improved dramatically in recent years and the school is now firmly established as the provider of a very high quality Catholic education.
