. The school has the option to buy the land during the lease period. The construction costs were in the tens of millions of dollars. In 2008, the school broke ground on a new building for the Arts, the Studio at Sage Hill. The Studio will support the school's public purpose mission and serve as a forum for both creation and display. The building was completed in August, 2009. It contains a 300-seat fully flexible black box theater and houses two new departments- Film and Ceramics, along with Visual Arts, Theater, Dance and Choral and Instrumental Music. In addition to the new theater building, Sage Hill is situated on a 30-acre campus with academic buildings, library, gymnasium, football/soccer field, baseball field, outdoor basketball and a sand volleyball court.
