Sabyrtooth
Encyclopedia
Sabyrtooth is an American indie rock, grunge-pop duo with strong hard rock and punk influences; they marry ethereal bittersweet vocals with visceral guitar riffs and blues-influenced drums.

Sabyrtooth formed in 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Members are Coley Read (drums and backing vocals) and Abi Mae Colbeck (guitar and lead vocals). Coley and Abi created Sabyrtooth in fall 2010. Sabyrtooth is both a production team and a band, and their richly hypnotic sound is a product of their wide-ranging influences and expert involvement in all elements of music production.

History

The duo of Los Angeles transplants met in 2007, while pursuing other projects and Coley began producing/engineering Abi’s band. The two have been creating music together ever since. Sabyrtooth is both a production company and a band. The couples meeting and subsequent collaborations over the past four years have come together to create the raw passion-fueled sound that is Sabyrtooth.
