History

Russell Country Federal Credit Union was originally chartered in 1946 in Great Falls, Montana. Represented by the merger of four area credit unions over a period of 20 years, the name “Russell Country” was approved by the NCUA and adopted on April 6, 1999. Credit unions merged into Russell Country FCU include:
  • Great Falls Government Employees FCU
Served employees of the US Government who work in Chouteau, Liberty, Pondera, Teton, and Cascade counties; several small employee groups; and residents within a 22-mile radius of Fairfield, MT.
  • MANG FCU
Served Montana Air National Guard
