. The school was formed in August 1999 to merge together Penilee Secondary School and Crookston Castle Secondary School, and moved to a new building on Crookston Road in 2002. It currently holds over 1100 pupils.

The school includes state of the art drama studios and stage, music rooms, gymnasia and fitness room, science labs, home economic rooms, technical rooms and ICT rooms. There is also a social space for the pupils to socialize at morning break/lunch times. The Learning Centre provides a facility for pupils to loan books and study.
