History

RockFood Music was begun informally in 2003 by Mark Elmore and John Helps with the pair running a number of low-key live music events in their hometown of Worcester

 and at their university in Leicester

. By 2004 they were running a regular monthly night at The Attik in Leicester, as well as occasional shows at venues elsewhere in the country. Mark moved to Nottingham in 2006, leaving John to formerly establish the business. The company has grown steadily since, promoting shows from Reuben
