" peaking at #18, "Road to Our Dream" only peaked at #42 in the UK for a total of seven weeks, becoming the band's first single not to enter the top 40 since the band's second 1987 single "Intimiate Strangers".

A promotional video was created for the single. As the single didn't enter the top 40, the song was never performed on Top of the Pops.

A limited edition 7" vinyl box single was also released which featured the regular SRN 100 disc, live photographs, lyrics banner and silver injection mould labels.

"Road to Our Dream" was written by rhythm guitarist Ronnie Rogers and lead vocalist Carol Decker.

The b-side for the single "Time of Our Lives" was exclusive to the single, written again by Rogers and Decker.

For some versions of the single, an edit of "Road to Our Dream" was used instead of the album version. For the CD format of the single, an instrumental of "Road to Our Dream" was added. The 12" vinyl and CD formats for the single featured the extra bonus track "Call Me", written by Andy Piercy
