History Taw was the last letter of the Western Semitic and Hebrew alphabets, and probably represented a cross. The sound value of Semitic Taw, Greek alphabet Ta? (Tau), Old Italic and Latin T has remained fairly constant, representing in each of these; and it has also kept its original basic shape in all of these alphabets.
Codes for computing In Unicode the capital T is codepoint U+0054 and the lower case t is U+0074.
The ASCII code for capital T is 84 and for lowercase t is 116; or in binary 01010100 and 01110100, correspondingly.
