bringing viewers up to speed on the hottest music news, the latest crazes and celebrity gossip as it happens. He has presented news from various red carpets, including the lavish MTV Awards and London’s biggest film premieres.

Alongside MTV News, Rickie and Melvin presented MTV Digs on MTV One, Monday to Saturday between 1600 and 1900. Rickie and Melvin hosted MTV’s big music show, MTV Music Junkie which was recorded within a live studio audience, interviewing some of the biggest and best music stars around at the moment, including Robbie Williams, Shakira and Mr Hudson. Together they have also hosted a week long special on Big Brother’s Big Mouth for Channel 4.

In 2010, Rickie & Melvin also presented the backstage online footage for Sky 1′s ‘Must Be The Music’.

Rickie filmed a BBC3 documentary, My Weapon is My Dog, which explored in depth the hip-hop and peer-pressure culture that has led to a growth in aggressive dogs and examining why many young men want to be feared. Following the success of this documentary, Rickie was seen presenting BBC3′s Cannabis: Britain’s Secret Farms. Rickie set out to discover the true impact of the UK’s skunk-smoking habit. Rickie accompanied Avon And Somerset Police on raids, rode in a heat-seeking helicopter as it uncovered cannabis farms with thermal imaging equipment, and met some of the landlords and homeowners horrified to find their tenants are really criminals who have ripped their property apart.

An obvious choice for youth programming, Rickie’s strengths lie in his charm and affable personality. Together they also present celebrity interviews for “The Hook Up” on MySpace and have rubbed shoulders with Alicia Keys, Kelli Rowland and John Legend to name a few.

In the time Rickie spend away from Kiss and MTV, they both indulge in numerous aspects of social networking with massive followings across Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and their very own blog page called, ‘Welcome to 21′ which is updated daily. By having an active online presence and regular DJ club nights it’s a great way for them to keep their growing legion of listeners and viewers faithful and involved in their antics.
