Richard A. Russell is currently the Deputy Associate Director of National Intelligence for Intelligence Community Enterprise Solutions (ICES) in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Previously, he served as Deputy Associate Director of National Intelligence for Information Technology Programs in 2007, as well as Information Sharing and Customer Outreach from 2005-2006, and Deputy Associate Director of National Intelligence for Information Technology Policy, Plans, and Requirements. In his current role he oversees the provision of services and establishment and implementation of standards for the intelligence community including development and provision of services on intelink-SBU, interlink-S and intelink-TS. Mr. Russell was selected as the senior DIA representative and senior counter terrorism analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in March 2003. Subsequently, he was selected as the first principal deputy director for the Homeland Security Operations Center where he served until selected as the first director of information sharing and collaboration for the DHS in March 2004.
