and plotting attacks on U.S. soldiers abroad, by making IED detonators. Ferdaus, who is unmarried with no children, graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Physics. If convicted he faces more than 20 years in prison. Ferdaus' only known previous crimes are a senior prank, pouring cement on ground in front of the doors of his high school
and possession of marijuana.
