Style and composition

The album features a hugely different style compared to their debut album, as it featured almost only mainstream pop music. Rewind hasn't one single synthesizer, nor drum machine on it. Rewind is a really stripped down version of the bands sound as it only features drums, piano, acoustic guitars and bass guitar. The members themselves are playing most of the instruments compared to any of their other albums as well. Danny had previously been criticized for being the main singer as he and Erik respectively sung more than Mattias. On Rewind however, Mattias has been given several songs where he's singing the lead and not harmonic vocals, which counts for both Danny and Erik as well.
