End of career

Ranjana Deshmukh's career came to an abrupt end in 1987 in a car accident while she was on her way to a film shoot to Bangalore. Ranjana's legs were paralysed in the accident she also lost movement of her left arm. She later starred in a play Fakta Ekdach, as a wheelchair-using woman who is deserted by her lover.
