College Festival

The college festival, Zodiac is the main festival of RGIT and it has various programs like rock concerts and gaming events. Zodiac was started as an inter-collegiate festival in 2005 and continues to increase in stature and reputation every year. This year however the Principal showed himself to be a true miser and destroyed the whole event. There is also a technical festival called 'Icarus', generally held in the month of October every year. Both these festivals are a responsibility of the Student Affairs committee.

The department of Instrumentation Engineering hosts Innovision, an annual technical festival held at the national level, where hardware projects are displayed. 'Dimension 5' is the festival conducted by the department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Clubs and Societies

RGIT is considering founding a Rotaract Club of RGIT and a Microsoft Association. A Marathi bhasha mandal (Marathi language society) was founded for the promotion of Marathi language in the college.

Sports

The college takes part in many sports-related activities and also has various recreation-related events happening within the college at regular intervals. It is known for organizing go-karting events. The college does not have a play ground of its own.

Inter-collegiate events

The college hosts many inter-college events in which many of the other engineering colleges in the area take part. This gives the students the opportunity to mingle with students from other colleges.

Co-curricular activities

Memberships of various professional societies like ISA, IEEE, CSE, IETE are offered to students. MESA, Mechanical Engineering Students Association was a club founded in RGIT in 2009.
