Plot

The plot revolves around a large family who gather for their two grandmothers' birthday in the country side. Unfortunately, one of their gifts happens to be from their devil-worshipping nephew, and upon opening it, the two loveable grannies turn into vicious, flesh-eating monsters who will not stop until they have loved each and every one of their relatives to death.

Criticism

Due to its unusual subject and title and its graphic scenes of gore, 'Rabid Grannies' is one of the most infamous titles in the Troma library.

The Troma DVD removes a lot of the gore from the feature film. These scenes are available to be seen in the bonus features.
