Farrow is the subject of the song "Dear Prudence" by The Beatles. This song was written by John Lennon for Prudence while both were staying at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's retreat in Rishikesh, India. Prudence would not join the activities, staying instead in seclusion during long periods of meditation in her room. Lennon and the others at the retreat wanted her to join them, and Lennon wrote the song to entice her "to come out to play," as the lyrics go. Lennon later revised the song by adding visions of world beauty.
