Also, he believed it was his duty to place Sejong as king, so he acted extremely rudely in the court. Becoming uncomfortable for being thrown out of his position, he married a peasant and was officially deposed in June 1418 and soon were banished from Seoul

. His second brother, Grand Prince Hyoryeong, also believed in the same idea of Yangnyeong, became a monk in a Buddhist Temple. This plot ultimately brought Sejong to the throne. Later, he became a wandering traveler and lived in the mountains.

After Sejong has taken the throne, the brothers had great relationships and Sejong often invited Yangnyeong to the palace.

He lived in as a wanderer and died in 1462, almost living for 68 years.
