from 1719 until his succession in 1740, when he ranked as premier viscount of England. In 1719 he was High Sheriff of Brecknockshire
, where he inherited the estate of the Morgans of Pencoyd near Hay-on-Wye
. He married as his second wife (1740) a daughter of William Price of Rhiwlas, Merioneth.
On his death the title passed to Edward Devereux
, a distant cousin of Nantcribba, Montgomeryshire
and the estate at Vaynor Park was sold.
