it had a population of 7623 people living in 1479 individual households. Pithuwa is located West to the Kayer river [कयर खोला], East and North to Ratnanagar Municipality and South to Jutpani VDC. Chandra Mani Aacharya is its current VDC chairperson. The total population living here are the immigrants from the hills, especially from Gorkha and Dhading districts. Here are also some indiginious communities like Tharus and Darais.It has one high school, Jana Jagriti Higher Secondary School [जन जागृती उच्च. मा. बि.], which is the sole provider of higher education in the VDC and periphery since about 3 decades. It is one of the most beautiful place of the Eastern Chitwan. It is close to the Chitwan National Park.Here is one of the famous Noodle Industry of Nepal ie.Smart Foods and Snacks Pvt. Ltd. popularly called as YumYum Noodles.This industry had been providing employment to many people of Pithuwa VDC. Here are other many small and big Bricks Industries too.
