There are a few good public services in Pierrefonds, mostly centred around Pierrefonds blvd; the Pierrefonds Library and the Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough office are on that street. So is the local fire station.

Pierrefonds hosts many different sports teams, from hockey to baseball to soccer and beyond. The borough is also home to Pierrefonds Day Camps, summer day camps with locations all through the borough. There are 5 outdoor swimming pools in Pierrefonds: Briarwood, Pierrefonds Park, Thorndale, Valleycrest, and Versailles.
