Pervaiz Kaleem is a Pakistani film director, producer and writer based in Lahore
. He has to his credit some of Lollywood
's biggest hits like Gunnah, But Shikken and Pehla Sajda. Pervaiz Kaleem is often credited with re-vitalizing the Lollywood industry during the mid-'90s, a period during which he directed hits such as Gunnah, Jaltay Badan and But Shikan. Pervaiz has launched many newcomers including Saud, Faisal Qurashi, Seemi Zaidi, Kubra Khanam, Safeer Ali (his brother), Billal Khan.

In 1987 Pervaiz started a movie as director and writer named jazbaat But it not completed due to production problem. In 1988 Pervaiz sign a movie Bazar-e-Hussan as writer and it becomes his recognize mark in film industry. in 1990 Pervaiz and his Brother Hamid Ali Start Production named Ali Arts Production. Their first movie under this banner was Gunnah which was a block buster hit in 1990. Their second production was Jaltay Badan. In this film Pervaiz introduced his brother Safeer Ali a.k.a. Aqeel. Unfortunately this film did not give them good business. In 1993 Pervaiz gives a hit Butt Shikken this film puts him in top directors and writers in Pakistan.
Pervaiz Kaleem is the father of the editor and director Adeel Kaleem, the father and son duo have recently worked together in movies such as Moosa Khan, Pehla Sajda, Shiddat and Bhai Log. The latter script was written by Pervaiz.

Career
In his early years living in Lahore, he Entered in Evernew Studios Lahore. He worked there as a peon, trolley man and then he reached one day to famous director Agha Hussaini and he assisted him for 5 years. He managed to write the dialogue for a minor film for Rs. 50.
