Lewis Patrick "Podge" Hughes, usually known as Patrick Hughes (born 10 April 1943 in Blackrock, County Dublin

) is an Irish former cricketer
and maths teacher
. A right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium
bowler, he played thirteen times for the Ireland cricket team between 1965 and 1978 including five first-class
matches.
Patrick Hughes is also currently a teacher at Mount Temple Comprehensive School
and is teaching several senior maths classes. Before retiring from full time teaching in 2009, he was the Head of Mathematics at the school and is highly respected among staff and students alike.
