The private bank became known as Parr, Lyon & Greenall in 1825 and Parr, Lyon & Co. in 1855. In 1865, it was reconstructed as a joint-stock bank under the name Parr’s Banking Co. Ltd. and from 1892 to 1896 was known as Parr’s Banking Co. & Alliance Bank Ltd. following merger with that bank.

In 1918, Parr’s Bank amalgamated with London County & Westminster Bank to form London County Westminster & Parr’s Bank which, from 1923, was known simply as Westminster Bank
