in the Lumbini Zone
of southern Nepal
. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census
it had a population of 22,630.
It is also called Ramgram Municipality. It is a small place about 9 km from the East-West Highway

Maheshpur touches the border near to Thutibari (India). 3 km away from the Ramgram Stupa, towards the southwest, is another temple known as Pali Bhagvati Temple dedicated to Durga Goddess.
