Paramyxine is a now invalid genus of hagfish
being a junior synonym
of Eptatretus
. It currently includes two species, both of which belong in the genus Eptatretus. However, two species of Eptatretus are currently homonyms of the two Paramyxine species and need to be re-named before the following two species are officially transferred to Eptatretus.
