In April 2009 Orocobre announced the maiden resource estimate of project Olaroz with the amount of lithium carbonate to be at least 1.5 million tonnes and at least 4.4 million tonnes of potash (potassium chloride).

In a scoping study published in May 2009 a target production of 15.000 tpa lithium carbonate and 36.000 tpa potash is stated.

Other projects

Besides the above projects, Orocobre holds other mining rights.

In February 2009, Orocobre Ltd. and Argentinean partners launched the joint venture "South American Salars". The objective is a further exploration of salars located in South America.
