, and instead of pairing its wines with food, Notaviva Vineyards pairs its wines with music. Each year the winery offers a wine and music pairing event, whereby five blind tastings of wine are offered while a widely varied playlist of music clips plays. Guests have the opportunity to rate how well each music clips goes with the wine, and results of this focus group are posted online for all to share. It has been illustrated that various genres of music do in fact complement certain styles of wine better than others. Each wine is named for a musical term or inspiration e.g. "Cantabile" Cabernet Franc (cantabile means "graceful" or "full of expression" in musical parlance).

The construction of Notaviva Vineyard's timber-frame tasting room was featured on HGTV's show "Dream House".
