. When it was merged with Norsk Høvleriarbeiderforbund (established 1911) in 1949, it changed its name to the Norwegian Union of Building Industry Workers. In 1961 it absorbed Norsk Stenindustriarbeiderforbund (established 1896) and in 1976 it absorbed Norsk Murerforbund.
